Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 September 2026
1. About these Terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of www.amatte.ie and any purchase made through our online store.
AMATTE is operated by Janaina C., trading as AMATTE, in Ireland.
By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms together with our Privacy Policy, Returns, Refunds and Cancellations Policy, and Shipping Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights available to consumers under Irish or European Union law.
2. Contact details

AMATTE
Clifton Park
Shankill, Dublin 18
Ireland
If a business registration number or VAT number becomes applicable, it will be displayed in our Legal Notice and other relevant parts of the website.
3. Eligibility and use of the website
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, to place an order.
You agree to provide accurate, complete and current information when placing an order. You must not use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes, interfere with its security or operation, introduce malicious code, scrape its content without permission, or infringe the rights of AMATTE or any third party.
We may restrict access to the website where reasonably necessary to protect customers, the business, the website or other users.
4. Products and product information
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, dimensions, colours, photographs and prices are accurate.
Colours may appear differently depending on your screen and device settings. Because many AMATTE products are created using 3D-printing and hand-finishing processes, minor variations in texture, layer lines, colour tone or finish may occur. These characteristics do not affect your statutory rights where a product is faulty, unsafe, materially different from its description or otherwise not in conformity with the contract.
Product availability may change. We may discontinue a product or limit available quantities, provided this does not affect an order we have already accepted.
Product-specific care instructions and safety warnings form part of the product description and must be followed. Unless expressly identified as a toy, AMATTE decorative products are not toys and should be kept away from babies and young children.
5. Personalised and made-to-order products
The customer is responsible for checking all personalisation information before submitting an order, including names, dates, spelling, wording, colours and other selected details.
We will create the product using the information submitted with the order. If you notice an error, contact hello@amatte.ie immediately. We may be able to make a change if production has not started, but changes cannot be guaranteed after work has begun.
Products made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised are subject to the cancellation and return exceptions explained in our Returns, Refunds and Cancellations Policy. This does not affect statutory rights where an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or does not match the information submitted with the order.
6. Orders and contract formation
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your basket.
An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order but does not necessarily mean that it has been accepted. A binding contract is formed when we send confirmation that the order has been accepted or begin producing or dispatching the product, whichever occurs first.
We may refuse or cancel an order before acceptance where, for example:
- A product is unavailable;
- Payment cannot be authorised;
- Pricing or product information contains an obvious error;
- We cannot fulfil the requested personalisation;
- We reasonably suspect fraud, misuse or an unlawful transaction; or
- Delivery to the supplied address is not reasonably possible.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid using the original payment method.
7. Prices and payment
Prices are displayed in the currency shown at checkout. Prices include taxes where legally required, unless clearly stated otherwise.
Delivery charges and any other applicable costs will be shown before you submit the order.
For deliveries outside the European Union, the customer may be responsible for import duties, taxes and customs charges imposed by the destination country. Where these charges are not collected at checkout, they are not included in the product or delivery price.
Payment must be authorised before an order can be processed. Payment services may be supplied by Shopify Payments or another third-party payment provider subject to that provider’s applicable terms and privacy practices.
8. Production, dispatch and delivery
All AMATTE products are made to order. We do not hold finished products in stock.
Please allow 3–5 business days for production before your order is dispatched. This production period applies to both personalised and non-personalised products.
Delivery estimates begin only after production has been completed and the order has been dispatched. Production time and delivery time are separate and must be added together when estimating the total time required to receive an order.
Business days do not include Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays in Ireland. During busy periods, launches or holidays, production may take longer. If a material delay affects your order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
The estimated delivery time shown at checkout applies after dispatch and does not include the 3–5-business-day production period.
We deliver to the destinations made available at checkout. Delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees, but we will fulfil orders without undue delay and within any period required by applicable law.
The risk of loss or damage remains with AMATTE until the goods are physically received by you or by a person you nominate, other than a carrier independently chosen by you.
If an order is delayed, lost or arrives damaged, contact hello@amatte.ie so that we can investigate and provide any remedy required by law.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Additional delivery costs caused by an incorrect or incomplete address may be charged where permitted by law.
9. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Cancellations, returns, exchanges and refunds are governed by our Returns, Refunds and Cancellations Policy.
Eligible consumers purchasing non-personalised goods online generally have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the goods.
That statutory right of withdrawal does not generally apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised. However, personalised goods remain protected where they are faulty, damaged, incorrect, unsafe, not as described or otherwise not in conformity with the contract.
Our separate voluntary return period does not replace or restrict your statutory rights.
10. Faulty or non-conforming goods
Goods must conform to the sales contract and meet the standards required by applicable Irish consumer law.
If a product is faulty, damaged, unsafe, not as described, does not match the agreed personalisation or otherwise fails to conform to the contract, you may be entitled to remedies including repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts those statutory remedies.
11. Promotions and discount codes
Promotions and discount codes may have separate conditions, including an expiry date, eligible products or minimum order value.
Unless stated otherwise, discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash, applied retrospectively or combined with other offers. Promotion conditions do not affect statutory consumer rights.
Products purchased on sale remain protected by applicable consumer law.
12. Intellectual property
The website and its original content, including the AMATTE name, branding, logo, product designs, photographs, graphics and written content, are owned by or licensed to AMATTE and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may access the website for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, commercially exploit or create derivative works from our protected content without prior written permission.
Third-party names, trademarks and content remain the property of their respective owners.
13. Reviews, photographs and other submitted content
If you submit a review, photograph or other content, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it is accurate, lawful and does not infringe another person’s rights.
You grant AMATTE a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and use that submitted content in connection with operating and promoting the business. Where legally required, we will request additional consent before using identifiable customer photographs for marketing.
We may remove unlawful, misleading, abusive or infringing content. Personal information contained in submissions will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14. Third-party services and links
Our website may contain links to or integrations with third-party services, including payment, delivery, analytics and social-media providers.
Those third parties may have their own terms and privacy policies. AMATTE is not responsible for third-party websites or services that are outside our reasonable control, but this does not limit our responsibility for performing our contract with you.
15. Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform used to display products and process transactions.
Purchases made through this store are contracts directly between you and AMATTE. Shopify is not the seller of AMATTE products.
Information processed through the platform is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, Shopify’s privacy documentation.
16. Website availability
We aim to keep the website accurate, secure and available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access at all times. Access may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance, security, technical failures or events outside our reasonable control.
This does not affect our obligations relating to orders already accepted or any mandatory consumer rights.
17. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- Defective or unsafe products where liability cannot legally be excluded; or
- Breach of mandatory consumer rights.
Subject to applicable law, AMATTE is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for business losses arising from a consumer’s non-commercial purchase.
18. Events outside our reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, postal disruption, transport interruption, customs delays, natural disasters, public emergencies or failures of essential networks.
We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect of the event and will contact affected customers where appropriate. This section does not remove any right to cancel or receive a refund where provided by law.
19. Privacy and electronic communications
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Marketing emails will be sent only where permitted by law. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in the message or by contacting hello@amatte.ie. Transactional messages relating to an order may still be sent where necessary to perform the contract.
20. Complaints
If you have a complaint, contact hello@amatte.ie with your name, order number and a description of the issue.
We will acknowledge and review complaints within a reasonable time and aim to resolve them fairly in accordance with Irish and European Union consumer law.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary to reflect changes to our services, business practices or legal obligations.
The version that applies to a purchase is the version in effect when the order is placed. Later changes will not retrospectively alter an existing contract unless required by law or expressly agreed with you.
The current version and effective date will remain available on this page.
22. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Irish law.
If you are a consumer resident in another European Union or European Economic Area country, you also retain the protection of any mandatory consumer laws that apply in your country of residence and any right to bring proceedings in a court available to you under applicable law.
23. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. The affected provision will be interpreted or limited only to the extent necessary to make it lawful and enforceable.
